FangFang Shi

Dr FangFang Shi Inouye received her DMA from USC Thornton School of Music majoring in piano performance under the tutelage of Mr. Norman Krieger. Her minor fields were Music Education with Dr. Shiela Woodward, Music Theory Analysis with Dr. Robert Moore and Conducting with Larry Livingston.

Dr. Shi has performed nationally and internationally. Her live performances have been broadcasted on KUSC radio station. Among many accolades and honors, Mr. Shi was the recipient for the Ethnic Music Award from the MPE Loeb Competition the Phi Beta Piano Scholarship Mabel Wilson Richards Scholarship the Liberace Scholarship Award the Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Scholarship the B. Douglas Sawtelle Scholarship Award and the winner of the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition.

As the first place winner in the USC Thornton School of Music Concerto Competition, Dr. Shi collaborated as a soloist with the USC Thornton Symphony Orchestra under the leadership of Maestro Carl St. Clair (music director of Pacific Symphony). Dr. Shi performed with the Bellflower Symphony Orchestra as soloist performing Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 and received the commendation award by the County of Los Angeles.

Dr. Shi made her Debut at the Carnegie Hall Weill's Hall in 2015. With her excellent academic achievements, Dr. Shi has been invited to the membership of the PI KAPPA LAMBDA National Music Honor Society. As an advocated music educator, her paper "Realizing Goals in Memorization" was published by the International Society of Music Education (ISME).

Dr. Shi has been an active MTAC member since 1992, and served as President and First Vice-President at the Lakewood-Cerritos Branch. Dr. Shi has been invited to serve as an adjudicator for various piano competitions and festivals. They are SYMF, MTNA Contemporary Competition, Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity Competition, Concerto Competition at Biola University and MTAC various branch piano festivals. Dr. Shi's students have won places in numerous piano competitions including: SYMF Young Artist Category, MTAC State Concerto and Solo Competitions. Fullerton Ensemble Festival.

Dr. Shi is an Adjunct faculty at Long Beach City College while she continues to perform and teach.

石芳芳博士，以高额奖学金就读于美国加州大学（University of Southern California）桑顿音乐学院（Thornton School of Music）并以优异的成绩获取博士学位（Doctor of Music Art）。石芳芳博士的主修专业为钢琴，辅修专业是指挥，音乐教育，和音乐作品分析。石芳芳的现场钢琴演奏曾在美国古典音乐广播电台（KUSC）播放。石博士曾在桑顿音乐学院（USC Thornton School of Music）的协奏曲比赛钢琴组第一名，并有幸与加州著名指挥家，音乐总监卡尔森克莱尔（Carl St Clair）合作演出。石博士也曾被邀请到美国卡内基音乐厅演奏。
2010年石博士出色的论文在国际上发表，并受邀请在北京举办的国际音乐教育协会（Inter national Society of Music Education）大会上演讲。2017年，石博士修版并发表了母亲编写的一套钢琴技术练习教材，此教材共分十级，是专门针对学生们准备加州教师协会祛斑的钢琴考级（MTAC Certificate of Merit）而编写。自发行以来，深受教师和学生们的喜爱。
由于石博士出色的成绩，被邀加入派卡帕朗普达（Pi Kappa Lambda）huiyuan.rujin，石博士在喜瑞都大学（Cerritos College），尔湾大学（Irvine Valley College）和长堤市大学（Long Beach City College）任教。并受邀在多项钢琴比赛中担任裁判。石博士曾在加州音乐教师协会当仁分会会长。多年来，石芳芳博士的学生在多项钢琴比赛中获奖。其中包括加州音乐教师协会全州协奏曲比赛（MTAC State Piano Concerto Competition）一等奖，加州音乐教师协会全州独奏比赛（MTAC State Piano Solo Competition）二等奖，西南部青少年音乐节青年钢琴家组（SYMF Young Artist Category）第一名，南加州青少年巴赫作品钢琴比赛（SCJBF）第一名。富勒顿大学钢琴重奏比赛（Fullerton College Duet Festival）一等奖。还有学生以优异的演奏考入南加州音乐教师协会青年艺术家集团（MTAC Young Artist Guild）。
除了忙于教学，石博士也热衷于义务音乐表演活动，常在社区举办免费音乐会。石博士的演奏在YouTube上获得159K的点击率。2013年石博士被洛杉矶县授予“为公众贡献良多”荣誉证书。
